The Green Man Festival is held annually in Hay on Wye in Wales, UK. There are a lot of folk acts, but some other types of music as well. We (Iron and Wine) were headlining this stage and it was nice and dark by the time we went on. What an amazing scene this was! Very friendly folks having a good time and really into the music. Our friends in the band Low Anthem played before us and the crowd was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. When the song ended they just exploded in cheers. Wow. At the end of the night they burn the Green Man, a lot like burning man, but less freaky, more folky.
