Jon Rauhouse Orchestra Live in AZ

I'm excited to be playing piano with pedal steel guru Jon Rauhouse and his orchestra for a pair of swingin' shows in The Copper State.  Classic Tunes, Hawaiian Music, Country Swing, TV Show Themes and original songs to make you smile!

Oct 10 - Tucson, AZ - Hotel Congress - 7PM - Free on the patio
Oct 11 - Phoenix, AZ - Tempe History Museum - 7PM - Free

From the Bloodshot Records website:

Hometown: Phoenix, AZ
Jon Rauhouse is a pedal steel/ hawaiian guitarist of the highest order. We first came across him playing with the Grievous Angels.

Since then he has released three solo records, which were all originally released on Bloodshot, and appeared on recordings by Neko Case, Sally Timms, Kelly Hogan, Jon Langford, John Doe, Jakob Dylan, Old 97s, Visqeen, Calexico, Giant Sand and many more.

He currently resides in Neko Case's band.

The album (Steel Guitar Heart Attack) is pure instrumental magic. Woozy, dreamy songs that’ll set your mind to sailing into the sunset, happy hour, or the arms of your Polynesian princess. Beguiling melodies that take us to “Idaho,” the “Hood Canal,” and the “Girls of Pajama Hill” (who hasn’t wanted to go there?) or provide the perfect wordless soundtrack when you want to wet your line or wet your whistle. Everything from country classics to the theme song from Mannix. That’s called versatility, my friends. There’s even a banjo number that shows Jon can play stuff standing up, too.
